Deal: £269.99 (used, 5-PW · Stiff flex · Steel) on American Golf, 28% (£108) below its typical used price.

The typical price is the middle value (median) of recent prices for the same model, spec and condition, once we have at least 5. Used clubs are compared with used clubs, new with new. We only call something a deal when it's at least 20% below that. Prices include UK postage.

Before you buy used

  • Count the clubs: 5-PW is six irons, 4-PW is seven. Check none is missing or swapped from another set.
  • Look at the grooves and the face of the 7 iron and PW, the most-used clubs, for heavy wear.
  • Check every shaft is the same model and flex. Mixed shafts usually mean a club was replaced.
  • Ask whether lengths or lie angles were custom fitted. Non-standard specs suit some golfers and not others.
